Mindfulness Tools for Depression
Arrive Where you Are
Mindfulness reminds us of the importance to arrive in each moment just as we are.
Take 10 minues to close your eyes, ground your feet firmly into the earth and focus your attention inwards. Notice your breath, your heart beat, your lungs expanding with each breath. Notice your mind, what is it telling you? Is your mind racing or at peace? Is it reminding you of something that you need? Listen to your body. Is there tension, stress, and hidden worry. Feel your emotions. Find peace in your emotional self, acknowledging and embracing each emotion. Give thanks to your body, mind, and emotion for it’s wisdom and intelligence. Now.. with this feeling of groundedness, acceptance, and wholeness open your eyes into the awareness of your complete breath of trust and life.
