Challenges in life present themselves to us for on opportunity for growth. If we can be completely honest with ourselves we can appreciate our challenges instead of ignoring them or pretending that they do not exist.

There are different types of challenges. For example, in relationships, with family, with work or career, or other life scenarios.

I challenge you to choose one area that may bring certain challenges to focus on. Allow yourself to be completely open and honest with the challenge and instead of running from it, absorbe the experience of it. Listen to what the challenge is trying to teach you.

Notice when you are feeling uncomfortable and sit with the discomfort, in fact step into the discomfort. Challenge yourself to approach the discomfort from a different angle.

For me, something that frequently brings challenge into my life is the worry I feel around how other’s perceive me in social situations. I have a challenge with being socially awkward and many times I have tried to avoid social situations at all cost. I have noticed the more I try to avoid social situations or obsess about how other’s are perceiving me or what others are thinking of me, the situation just brings about more challenge and finds a place to settle in concrete.
