What Does a Boundary Look Like
A boundary includes mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual boundaries. Boundaries are essential to maintain healthy relationships. They are crucial to define and cultivate a healthy identity as an individual.
Healthy boundaries help decrease a person’s desire to isolate. They empower people to realize they are not helpless. Topics such as avoiding conflict, or being afraid to disappoint someone, or taking on someone else’s problems are all signs of poor self boundaries.
Any confusion about responsiblity and ownership is a problem with boundaries.
Asking questions such as:
Why do I feel guilty or afraid when I set a boundary?
What is an example of setting a limit?
What is an example of a spiritual boundary?
What is an example of a physial boundary?
What defines me?
